Several of our students have serious CONTACT food allergies. For that reason, please don't bring ANY food into the studio.
I also have SEVERE bronchial allergies to many chemicals and scents.
It's always embarrassing if i have to ask someone to leave the studio because I can't breathe!

Dryer sheets, Downy products, Downy Unstoppables, and Febreze are particularly dangerous.

How do I choose an appropriate class if my child has special needs?
Ages indicated are based on standard developmental and behavioral abilities. If you are unsure of which class would be appropriate for your child, please talk with us before you register.
What happens if a class I register for is full by the time my registration is received?
Classes are filled on a first-come, first served basis. If your registration is received after a class has been filled, you will be notified via email and will have the opportunity to choose a different class, be put on a waiting list, or have your full registration refunded.
What happens if a class I register for is canceled?
Notification of canceled classes will made the week before the first class meeting, via email. If your class is canceled, you will have the opportunity to choose a different class or have your full registration refunded. Each class must have the required minimum # of enrollments in order to proceed.
What is your refund policy?
Please choose wisely. Each registration requires a non-refundable $50 deposit per student, per class. Full tuition must be received by the posted deadline -- usually one week before the first class meeting. For those with changes of heart or changes in schedule, your tuition (less the $50 deposit) can be refunded to you up to the start day of class. PAY PAL refunds will be charged an additional 4% handling fee. A $15 fee will be applied to returned checks in addition to any bank charges.
No refunds will be made after the first day of class.
Will there be a final performance?
Some classes are performance-based; some are designed for exploring new music and theater experiences. Check each class description to see which program best meets your child's interests.
Showcase/Workshop/Studio Performances involve a minimum of costuming, props, etc. and allow students to demonstrate their work in front of a small, supportive audience. These may be held in our studio space or in another venue. These are non-ticketed events and may be combined with performers from other classes or private students.
Show Performances are the culmination of a more intensive class structure. These classes require a certain level of student maturity and involve regular home practice as well as consistent attendance, preparedness, and commitment to the final project by both students and their families. Because of added production expenses, tuition for these classes is higher and expectations for attendance are part of the commitment to the cast and crew.
Are any scholarships available?
Several scholarships are offered each year. Sometimes a donor will cover the tuition; usually the scholarships are donated by Studio 253 directly. Scholarships are intended to make classes available to children from families with financial need -- children who would not otherwise be able to participate in a fee-based program.
Check under the New Students/Discounts/Scholarships tab for details on what is currently available.

General policies:
Behavior: All students are expected to behave in a respectful, safe, and appropriate manner, both in the classroom and in the Civic Center building. Those who are unable to stay on task and participate with the group should wait to enroll until they are able to do so on a consistent basis. Students who are disruptive or uncooperative will be asked to leave the studio and may be dismissed for the remainder of the session.
Child Safety: There are many students, business people, and community members in the Civic Center during class hours. For optimum safety, we ask that parents escort children to the classroom and meet them in the hallway after class.
We cannot be responsible for children before or after they leave the classroom.
Attendance: There are several classes scheduled back-to-back each day, so we will do our utmost to start and finish right on time. We ask that you be punctual as well when dropping off and picking up your child. If you or your child will be late/absent from class, please let me know. Emails don't always reach me in time, so please CALL. 307-920-1190
If you send a text, please identify yourself -- my phone doesn't have caller ID. I don't receive FB/ Email on my phone.
Teamwork: Theater is a team sport, and the success of the class or cast depends on the commitment and integrity of its
players. Regardless of individual talent or experience, every member of the class is important. We rely on each other to show up, to be prepared, to participate, and to do our best.
Visitors: With the exception of Toddler programs, the studio is a students-only space during class time. Parents
are welcome to sit in on private voice/piano lessons, if desired, and there is seating in the hallway for parents who wish to remain on site during classes. If you have questions about this policy, please feel free to get in touch.
